"The most polished and consistent playing of the evening."

"Susan LaFever is a valiant soloist of mastery and imagination, capable of generating great excitement and allure in performance."
— Lowell Greer, Horn Soloist

Happy New Year! December started crazy busy and I had performances on horn, piano and organ. And I just played my third Beethoven 9 performance of the season on New Year's Eve!

I was happy to learn of a new three-movement work for horn and piano entitled "Sonatina" by Jeffrey Kaufman. Pianist and new friend Joshua Pierce http://www.piercepiano.com/  and I went into the recording studio with it and will be presenting the live premiere soon. 2016 is looking to be eventful, including planning my own solo CD, and also planning my second "Composer Extravaganza" concert.

I'm wishing that this year will be filled with love, fun and music for all of us and I hope to see you at a performance.

I'm sorry to say that my mother, Jennie, passed away in November. She had a long and at times successful fight with pancreatic cancer; living for a year and nine months after her late-stage diagnosis. I appreciate all the wishes sent my way and her passing has left a void in many lives.
